SmartClass 7.0: New look, new features - It's time to upgrade!

We are excited to unveil SmartClass 7.0 with its refreshed and sleek look to bring the SmartClass Teaching Platform and Language Lab solution to the next level. 

Modernized user interface

From start to finish, you will see the harmony between our products with a cleaner, brighter feel but keeping all of the same capabilities you have come to know and love. As you navigate through the platform using the dropdown menu, you will see more straightforward icons and titles to make it more intuitive, whether you are creating new activities, assigning folders, or reviewing student work. 

Updated teacher grading panel

Speaking of reviewing student work, our grading panel also got a much-needed update. Now, there is one "save" button to capture both your written and audio feedback for students. Choose the student’s work you would like to grade by clicking through with the arrows or using the dropdown student list. 

New student "Redo"

Teachers now have the ability to enable an automatic redo option for any auto-graded activity whether it is a self-created activity or from our SmartClass Curricula. Simply click “Allow Student Redo” before assigning the activity to students. This gives students more freedom and control over their learning and progress. Don’t forget that you can allow individual students the ability to redo a specific activity from the grading panel.

AI-Powered Fill-in-the-Blanks Speaking Activity

We have taken a student-favorite activity and put a twist on it. Instead of typing a response in the FITB activities, your students can now speak their answers. Enable this capability by clicking “Speak the answers” before assigning the activity to students. This adds another opportunity for your students to get more speaking practice and have immediate feedback. 

An additional benefit of this activity type is that you can now test your students’ grammar knowledge with a speaking twist. 

Language Lab: Improved look and feel

Instructing and supporting students is now easier with updated icons and easy-to-understand arrows letting you know who is transmitting and receiving during live instruction. Buttons are illuminated when enabled and other setting options have been condensed to limit confusion and give a cleaner look.
