Whether you purchased additional training with a SmartClass trainer or not, you will have 3 months of access to our SmartClass Academy. The SmartClass Academy is a step-by-step online course that leads you through all the tips and tricks of the SmartClass Teaching Platform. You will be guided through three chapters of videos, detailing steps you need to take in the Hub from setting up your classes and downloading content all the way through becoming an activity expert and assessing students, and giving feedback.
The timeline for the Academy is anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks depending on how much time you are setting aside each week to complete the course. How many hours should you allow weekly? This varies by chapter but is usually between 3 to 5 hours.

Every lesson has this structure:
- One or more videos to watch, which describe a platform feature from different angles.
- A TO-DO section that takes you through a short exercise - often on your own computer with the platform - that’s designed to help you build your skills.
- Extra resources and links that help you to get more information about the topic.
- Access to the private Facebook group of SmartClass users where you can ask your questions and chat with other users.
- A Chapter WRAP UP is included in the last lesson of each chapter. You need to submit your answers to wrap-up questions to unlock the next chapter.
In every chapter, you will go through a short exercise - on your own computer with your own platform login. For this reason, it is important that in preparation for the course you have successfully logged into the teaching platform using your school server information and your personal log-in credentials. It is also important that you are using your own computer.
If you have questions along the way, there are multiple ways to reach out and get answers. We have an online, intelligent chatbot named Robi who is happy to direct you to answers. You can reach out and connect with other SmartClass users in our Facebook group. You will also be assigned a SmartClass trainer, who is available to answer any questions and provide support.
